Masood: ‘Is there anything in your life that you haven’t made a complete mess of?’

Monday 5 November
Masood’s financial worries are mounting up as he knows that he cannot make the mortgage payment after AJ spent the money on a motorbike. A desperate Masood visits Syed to ask for a loan, but is left disappointed when his son is unable to help. He is also shocked to hear that Christian has left Syed. Back at home, Masood considers trying his luck on a gambling website, but before he goes ahead with this drastic plan, AJ reveals that he has sold the motorbike and they can now pay the mortgage.
With things looking brighter for now, AJ decides to go all-out to celebrate Bonfire Night. AJ has bought a stash of fireworks and even hired dancing girls for the occasion. As the festivities begin on the Square, Masood insists to AJ, Syed and Tamwar that they should all stick together from now on. However, the celebrations are cut short when Zainab returns unexpectedly and switches off their music…
Meanwhile, Christian heads to the Beale residence as he needs somewhere to stay following his split from Syed. An emotional Christian tells Lucy that he hopes he’ll still be allowed to be a part of Yasmin’s life. Lucy is sympathetic and urges Christian to try making things work with Syed. Taking this on board, Christian visits Syed. Syed begs him to come home, but still can’t bring himself to say that he loves Christian. As a result, Christian is forced to walk away and things between them aren’t resolved. (Digital Spy)

Tuesday 6 November
No Christian in the cast list for this episode
Meanwhile, Syed is concerned when he is unable to find Christian, but Roxy warns him that he should leave Christian alone until he actually knows what he wants. When the doorbell rings later, Syed hopes that Christian has paid another visit. However, it’s actually Amira who he finds on the doorstep. Amira soon drops the bombshell that she is getting married and wants Yasmin to come and live with her and her fiancé in Birmingham.
Elsewhere, Zainab apologises to Masood for walking out on him. She is also shocked to hear that Syed’s marriage is already on the rocks, but when she visits her son to discuss it, he warns her to stop interfering. Still feeling guilty, an apologetic Zainab announces to the whole family that she’s going to stop complaining and meddling in everyone’s lives from now on. The Masood men scoff at this promise, but can Zainab prove them all wrong? (Digital Spy)

Thursday 8 November
Syed pays a visit to his family and shares the news that Amira wants to have full-time custody of Yasmin in Birmingham. He is considering agreeing to this, believing that Amira can offer Yasmin a much better life than he can. With Zainab sticking to her promise not to interfere, she declines to give an opinion on the matter, even though she is desperate to! Masood also keeps quiet and insists that it’s time Syed took responsibility for his own actions.
Later, Amira tells Syed that he should speak to Christian before making a decision, as it’s only fair that he should be involved too. When Syed consults Christian, he repeats how much he wants them to be a family. Christian is desperate to be a part of Yasmin’s life, but he insists that it would never work as it’s obvious that he isn’t enough for Syed. Left to make his decision alone, Syed tells Amira that Yasmin is all hers. (Digital Spy)

Friday 9 November
Meanwhile, Christian agrees to join Syed for dinner following some encouragement from Lucy. However, as Christian talks about how much he has missed Yasmin, Syed feels guilty as he’s already agreed that she can live with Amira. When Syed asks for his husband’s forgiveness, Christian brands him arrogant, immature and a lying cheat. However, Syed responds by admitting that he’s just been too proud to admit that he loves Christian – in fact, he loves him more than ever. Will Syed and Christian reunite, or is there more trouble ahead? (Digital Spy)
